There are several countries where acid violence occurs, and of the incidents, the majority have been reported against women. Like other forms of violence against women, acid violence arises due to partial gender relations. The pre-conference workshop will focus on how to end acid attacks and will address the root causes responsible for such attacks and preventive measures that can be taken. The workshop will also shed light on the psychology of acid attackers and culprits. You will learn about the various rights of acid attack survivors, the issues and challenges faced by the victims of acid attacks, and the policies taken by the government to overcome the challenges, along with the legal perspectives of acid attacks in India.
