Forensic Odontology is an unexplored yet crucial field of forensic science, dealing with the investigation of cases and natural disasters as well. The field utilizes the important aspects of human dentition, which can unfold the relatively broader intricacies of the case with accuracy and reliability. DNA extraction, bite mark analysis, disaster victim management, and individualization on the basis of the characteristics of their dentition are some of the major aspects that are dealt with in forensic odontology. This workshop will primarily focus on the investigation of crimes committed against women and children and how forensic odontology can help during the investigation process. Also, real-life cases of reconstructive identifications will be covered. This session also focuses on human remains identification, even in the advanced stages of decomposition fusing denatl analysis techniques.
