Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Teerthanker Mahaveer Dental College and Research Center, in association with Indo Pacific Association of Forensic Odontology and Association for Forensic Odontology of Human Rights, jointly organized a lecture series on Forensic Odontology for students from 25th to 30th April 2020 through virtual mode. Forensic Odontology is basically the application of dental science for the purpose of the law. It helps in establishing the personal identity of the unidentified human remains in several cases such as a mass disaster. Industry renowned experts from the field of Forensic Odontology and Forensic Science delivered the session on Bite Marks: Perspectives and Challenges, Humanitarian Forensic Odontology and Identifyme Informative Campaign, Interpol Protocol Guide of DVI: Procedure in Mortuary, Role of Forensic Odontology & Dental Anthropology in Identification of Human Remains and Facial Identification Through Somatometry and Somatoscopy. The sessions organized has the motive of making the people aware of the related area of Forensic Odontology.
