The session was very informative and interesting. Gave an idea that anything could go wrong if not dealt with utmost care. I had a great time and would love to see more such lectures. Thank you SIFS India for conducting informative lectures for learners.
Forensic science completes the criminal investigation puzzle. Without its applications, several cases would have been left unresolved, especially in the absence of eyewitnesses.
Evidence, whether physical or digital, is collected by detectives and agencies. However, it is analyzed only by forensic experts to make it admissible in court.
Every crime is unique, whether natural, accidental, suicidal, or homicidal in nature. Hence, the challenges the investigating team faces are also unique, and certain steps must be followed during the investigation to reach an appropriate conclusion. Also, the investigators must deeply observe the whole scenario without relying on presumptions, as what appears to be true at first sight may not always be true.
It does not matter how much you contribute to the crime scene investigation process; it should always be systematic and detailed, whether evidence collection, photographing, preservation, sketching, documenting, report writing, etc., to make the case easier to reach a conclusion.
In this webinar on “Unusual Work Accidents: Forensic Challenges in Evidence Collection”, the speaker will highlight the challenges involved during investigation, workplace injury investigations, forensic evidence in accidents, and forensic evidence collection techniques using insights from real-life case studies.
